Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva in 1996, achieved a doctorate thesis in 1998, worked in the teaching hospitals of Geneva and Lausanne from 1996 to 2006 with training in pediatrics then qualified as a FMH specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Formerly «chef de clinique » of the « Unité Multidisciplinaire de Santé des Adolescents» in Lausanne (CHUV); formerly « chef de clinique » at the « Service Médico-Pédagogique » in Geneva.
Founded in 1997 the Païdos Association, a non-profit NGO for children and adolescents, supported by the state and city of Geneva. Still works as volunteer Medical Director of the “Centre psychopédagogique pour adolescents” and as the Chairman of the Païdos Association.
Co-founded the Afghan Women and Children Association and set up an orphanage which continues to operate in Panchir Valley.
Set up private medical practice in 2003 comprising a team of psychiatrists and psychologists.
Former medical director of RSH from 2007 to 2010.
